STAR FLEET ACADEMY EVENTS
|-5||You are initiated (not necessarily voluntarily) into an illegal Psionic Research Program operating secretly within Star Fleet Academy. The stress and complications of leading a double-life while attending Academy results in a Red Shift to your Graduation Roll. Your Psionic Potential is determined, and you replace your Specialist Skills from your chosen Major with the Adept Psion Career at Level 0. Even if you fail to Graduate the Academy, the Program ensures that you Enlist in Star Fleet.
# If your Character is Vulcan, your difficulty in Graduation comes from spending your Academy years attempting to expose the Program (and encountering resistance at all levels), Instead of gaining the Adept Specialist skills, improve Telepathy by one level, and gain the Investigate skill in addition to all of the specialist skills you earn from your Major.
# If your Character is Betazoid, your difficulty in Graduation comes from being the subject of Program Research. (You also encounter resistance trying to expose the Program at all levels). Instead of gaining the Adept specialist skills, improve Empathy by one level and gain the Advocate skill in addition to all of the specialist skills you earn from your Major.
|-4||Your time at the Academy is not a happy one, a deep tragedy causes you to wash out and not graduate.|
|-3||You are involved with an incident gone horribly wrong and someone gets hurt badly. Roll CHA 8+. If you succeed, gain a Rival, if you fail, gain an Enemy. In either case you are expelled from the Adademy and do not Graduate.|
|-2||You take advantage of your Academy years and have as much recreation as possible! Gain Carouse 1|
|-1||You join a controversial Political movement, Roll CHA 8+, if successful you become a leading figure; gain 1 Ally within the movement and 1 Enemy in wider society. If the roll fails, you gain 1 Rival and 1 Enemy in wider society|
|0||Life Event – Roll on the Life Events table|
|+1||You become involved with a tightly-knit clique or group and make a pact to remain friends wherever in the Galaxy you end up. Gain D3 Allies|
|+2||You develop a healthy interest in a hobby, gain any skill of your choice except Jack of Trades at Level 0|
|+3||An instructor rubs you the wrong way and you work hard to overturn their conclusions. Roll INT 9+ on any skill you have learned during this term. If successful, you provide an elegant proof that soon becomes accepted as the standard approach. Gain a level in the skill you rolled against and gain the instructor as a Rival|
|+4||There is an actual emergency or crisis (this is not a drill..) on board the vessel on which you are serving your Cadet Cruise. Pick an ability score and a skill and roll 8+ against it. If you succeed, you are recognized for action above and beyond the call of duty, You are awarded the Star Cross and Graduate with a promotion to Rank O-2 Lieutenanant j.g. If Graduating with Honors, you are still only promoted to Rank O-2.|
|+5||You gain wide-ranging recognition for your Academic initiative and excellence. Graduate with Honors, no Graduation Roll necessary. Gain d6 Contacts and d3 Allies.|
